30 years after Marty McFly stepped into the time travelling DeLorean, Back to the Future’s biggest fan, Keith Lemon, is creating his very own celebratory one off special, Keith Lemon’s Back to the Future Tribute, for ITV2.

With the help of some of his celebrity friends the 90 minute episode will see Keith remake some of his favourite Back to the Future scenes in his own inimitable style. Paddy McGuiness will be playing Biff, Gino D’Acampo takes on the role of Doc and McBusted will be performing the film’s iconic song, Johnny B. Goode.

The episode will also see Back to the Future obsessive Keith head off on a transatlantic pilgrimage to visit the film’s iconic locations and meet some of the original cast and crew including co-creator, Bob Gale. Keith will hang out with some of the film’s biggest fans, speak to boffins studying real time travel and will even have a go on a real life, working hover board.

Keith Lemon’s Back to the Future Tributewill air Autumn 2015 to coincide with the 30th anniversary of the film and the day Marty McFly travelled to in the future for the second film.

Keith Lemon says: “Never did I fink 30 years ago I'd be on telly doing a 'docu-com' about 30 years of Back t' future. It's well documented that I'm a massive BTTF fan but I'm not well documented for mecking documentaries. I'm very excited. I feel like a geeky 40 year old virgin, accept I'm not 40 and I've had loads of sex. Let's get that flux capacitor fluxing!”

Leon Wilson, Managing Director, Talkback and Executive Producer, Keith Lemon’s Back to the Future Tribute, says: “Keith is a massive Back to the Future film buff so is the perfect man to show off his knowledge and share his love with ITV 2’s audiences. We’re excited to see his recreations of some of the film’s most iconic scenes…. with an extra twist of lemon.”

ITV’s Commissioning Editor, Comedy Entertainment, Claire Zolkwer adds: “Keith is the most enthusiastic Back To The Future fan that I've ever met so with the 30th anniversary coming up, what better way for ITV2 to celebrate than with his very own 'docu-com'.“

Keith Lemon’s Back to the Future Tributewas ordered for ITV2 by ITV’s Director of Digital Platforms, Angela Jain and was commissioned by Commissioning Editor, Comedy and Entertainment Claire Zolkwer.  It will be made for ITV2 by Talkback and executive produced by Leon Wilson. The Series Producer is Arron Ferster and Director is Andrew Chaplin.
